Back to the Premier League - Arsenal FC vs Leeds United

After a long international break, leagues across Europe will resume this weekend. Clubs that have not played league matches for the past two weekends will be looking to get back into the swing of things as quickly as possible with the return of players from international duty. Arsenal, the reigning Premier League champions, had gone four matches conceding just one goal, only to lose 3-0 away to Brighton in the fifth round. There appears to be little cause for the Gunners to be overly concerned, as they are keen to kick off the league campaign with a win following a surprising and frustrating defeat. Although Manchester City - the only team yet to drop any points after five weeks - sit ahead of the North London side, their priority is not so much the league title race as emerging with the least possible damage from the legal case brought against them, in which they have been found largely guilty. For the Blue and Whites, the fallout is expected to range from severe points deductions to relegation, and could even extend to the annulment of their league titles. They won the Manchester derby by scoring a goal from an offside position - a refereeing error acknowledged by the Premier League - whilst their opponents had earned 15 points. Up until this week, there have been serious complaints regarding refereeing decisions being made in a way that favours the blue-and-whites. The North London side must not dwell on these issues and instead kick off the week with a home win to send a warning to their rivals.

Leeds United are yet to lose a league match

Leeds United, who finished 14th in the Premier League upon their return last season, have made a strong start to this campaign and remain unbeaten after the first five matchdays. Having secured two wins and three draws whilst conceding just three goals, Daniel Farke's side are determined not to return empty-handed from North London. Having previously guided Norwich City to the Premier League on two occasions, only for the team to be relegated back to the Championship in both seasons, Farke has managed to lead Leeds United to the world's top domestic league and navigate their first season there without a hitch. You'll need to be at the Emirates to witness the German manager showcase all his tactical prowess against the reigning champions.
