How does Seatpin make buying and selling tickets safe?
We verify listings and seller identity in several ways. A listing only goes live after it passes review. If something still goes wrong, we cover you with 100% money back.
Before a seller can list tickets, and while you review a seller's profile, these are the checks and protections in place:
- We may ask sellers to complete KYC.
- We review uploaded tickets and booking confirmations for location, price, correct date, and other details. We do this as soon as the listing request is submitted, so only tickets that have been reviewed and verified appear on the website.
- We check all uploaded ticket barcodes to stop people from selling copies or listing the same tickets several times.
- We send the seller an email as soon as a ticket is sold. This makes sure the seller is informed right away and can no longer withdraw the listing.
- We temporarily block sellers with negative buyer's experience. We'll investigate the issue and permanently remove the seller if we find fraud.
- We have access to the seller's information, including name, phone number, and email. If fraud happens, we can provide this information to the authorities.
- We give all buyers a full-refund if an event is cancelled, tickets are fraudulent, or any other inconvenience occurs.
These checks help make Seatpin one of the safest places to buy and sell tickets online.
