Frequently Asked Questions
Selling tickets
How does Seatpin protect sellers?
Seatpin sellers are covered by the PinSafe Program.
We hold the buyer's payment until after the event and keep it safe in your account. You can check your balance at any time under "Payouts". If you sell your tickets and deliver them in line with the Seatpin User and Platform Agreement and Policies, your money will be made available 5 days after the event date. Before your tickets are sold, you can change the price, pause a listing, remove a listing, or remove tickets that are part of a listing. You'll be paid for every ticket you sell and deliver in line with the Seatpin User Agreement and all policies.
If a buyer submits a fraudulent claim, we ask them for supporting proof and review the case based on the evidence available. If there is a chargeback, we provide all the information we have to defend your position.
We also use different protections depending on the ticket type:
- E-tickets: Upload them to Seatpin whenever possible. This is the best way to confirm delivery. If you have trouble uploading them on the platform, you can send them directly to the buyer's email and CC [email protected] so we have it on record.
- Paper tickets: Always get a tracking code and send it to both the buyer and us. Buyers are asked to confirm delivery before and after the event.
- Mobile tickets: You can assign them to your buyer, and the status will show as transferred. This makes it easy to prove they were sent and received.
